Yamaha XP70 Single Zone Tom/Snare Pad

The XP70 is a 7-inch 1-zone snare/tom pad. The playing surface uses Yamaha's Textured Cellular Silicone (TCS) material, which has a unique structure that encloses numerous air bubbles of a precise size and frequency. The surface material of the TCS imitates the feel of a coated head.

Bubbles in the TCS head act to cushion the stick’s blow reducing the amount of “sound” produced when playing. And it absorbs the shock to significantly reduce stress on wrists and elbows.
